Laona Airport

The Laona Airport was built in 1946 S/W of Laona on the Irish Farm in Stark's Settlement. Harold C. Irish, a former WWII Marine Corps fighter pilot, along with his wife Mary, actively operated the Laona  Airport from 1946 to 1950.

Between 1950 and the late 1960's the Laona airport was used occasionally by local pilots.

The Laona airport has been closed since 1970.
